Car Hire Menorca Mahon

 

Menorca is a small, single terminal airport based in Spain, 3 miles to the south of Mahon.

Buses run between the central bus station and the airport every 30 minutes and it is also possible to use the services of one of many coach companies or hail a taxi from the rank just outside the terminal building. Alternatively, a number of car hire companies operate at the airport.

Facilities

The airport has two car parks, with 250 spaces in the long-term parking lot and 495 in the long-term parking lot.

The information desk can be found on the first floor of the airport building in a central location. A tourist information desk has been set up on the ground floor of the arrival hall by regional government, and is available with any information or advice tourists may seek while on holiday.

The terminal building comprises cash machines and a bank for any money transactions or withdrawal that may be required by passengers.

Eating and drinking facilities are abundant, with four bars and cafes alongside three restaurants serving a range of cuisines and snacks over a price range to suit all budgets.

Basic and cultural shopping needs can be met within the terminal building itself. Apart from the duty-free shop where standard items such as perfumes and tobacco are sold, the likes of gift items, books, handcrafts etc are also available in outlets. Additionally, there is a pharmacy, jeweller, newsagent and footwear shop. Confectionary and dried fruit is also sold in the shopping area.

For luggage that has been found unattended or lost, an office has been set up in the arrivals area to look into the situation and provide required assistance.

There is also a travel agency labelled ‘The Foreign Office’ on the first floor of the terminal building.

Unfortunately, there are no business facilities at Menorca airport but it is possible to book meeting rooms in the hotels in the area.

The building has been designed in a disability friendly manner. 6 parking spaces have been dedicated for disabled parking. Toilets have been tailored to potential needs of the disabled and lifts have been installed to towards the shopping and eating area as well as boarding gates. Ramps have been placed where required and telephone booths have been adapted accordingly.
